Fourfathers

Fourfathers

A Poem by Teddybearlee
"

Just kind of a ramble/ode to those that do it best in my eyes

"
Those that expressed pain in ways I wish I could
Todays artists don't come close
The anguish and rage and fears
Showing it's ok for men to have feelings

Here's to you Trent Reznor
The master of your craft
I thank you for your words and pain
Pretty Hate Machine a life long soundtrack

Robert Smith, your melancholy unequaled
Disentigration a soundtrack for a dark period
Yet there was light as well
A first for me, forever in memory

Oh Mr. Corgan, my hero at one time
A lot of your sarcasm over my head
And I search for meanings in a lot of your rhymes
But Bodies...wow, that song alone rings loud

Marilyn Manson, how I disliked you at first
A trendy flash in the pan I thought
Till I sat down and gave you a chance
Eat Me, Drink Me, you claim to hate, but I find beautiful in it's honesty and emotion

These artists are my forefathers of hurt
Their words forever in my heart
Their music forever in my soul
I tip my hat to you for teaching me how to express
And that it's ok for a man to break down
