Fatigue

Fatigue

A Poem by Teddybearlee

So far beyond tired
Of living, of holding on, of caring
Sleep walk
Through life, the reaper stalks, daring

Holding an oath
Coursing through my veins like bleach
To myself
Only the end of days I preach

A true man's word
To love and cherish and protect
How can I go back
When my faith has this noose around my neck

I'm tired
All my reserves long dried out
No rest for the dead of soul
No regeneration, it's all for you I shout

I believe in...
I don't know anymore
Why do I keep my promise
Why can't I close the door
