Always the Fool

Always the Fool

A Poem by Teddybearlee

Everyone looks at me, like I'm a fool, for still loving you
But here's the truth, what I know, I don't have to prove
What you filled, what you cleansed, what your love did for me
Can not be matched, can not be denied, I just can't be free

Reality meets, memories, a distant vibe, so sickly sweet
The goals of two, the combining to one, I know I can't retreat
This man is lost, they say, he's cursed himself
But I know my path, and what it needs, better than anyone else

Yes the shame, sometimes does make it's way through
That I'll give up my life, in a heartbeat for you
But they can't see, they don't know, the woman you can be
That girl I met, and fell in love with, if only she can climb, free

If I die tomorrow, or maybe later today
Love me for me, the real man, who's heart is on display
No one else, would subject, their life, to this misery
But for my Angel of Hope, there is only, you and me
