Like A Dying Planet

Like A Dying Planet

A Poem by Teddybearlee

Sometimes, stars explode
Such a death, an overload
Or a planet may wither so slow
Losing it's life, losing it's glow

A painful, eternal lasting end
The light can't come soon enough, heaven
Alone in the galaxy
Not how it was, you and me

No oxygen, no atmosphere
No signs of life, nothing holds dear
What happened to this worlds savior
Abandoned, adrift, your betrayer

So we fade, fade in to obscurity
Drying up, caving in, no ears to hear the plea
All I can do is wait with a sigh
There is no hero stopping by, I was he, and I died
