Never After

Never After

A Poem by Teddybearlee

There's no tomorrow
When there's no today
If there is a past
Who am I to say

I saw a future
But what I envisioned was not true
This picture of us
In a frame, come unglue

Was before in my mind
Or did it occur
A person, now gone
And I was so sure

Trivial lessons
Minimal life
We all end up dead
You are my knife

Lifes too short
For what?
Life is fleeting
A waste of breath, enough

The tenses don't matter
It's all on repeat
I'm ready to go, from here
Six, feet deep
