Brick By Brick

When I've lived all I've cared to live
And I've died too much to heal
I can't even force a smile

All time has done is reinforced what I know
I fucked myself and now it's just a long dark road
So suck it up and plant your feet is what you do
I'll walk through this life and I"LL STAY TRUE

  But the wall is growing
   Brick by brick
  I'm growing more numb
   Tick by tick
  Shutting myself down
   Bit by bit
  Because I lost you
   Slip by slip

In person I'm quiet on the outside
As I try to get my mind to just stop
Feeling nothing is better than this
No cry for help, my heart is just shot

This is what happens to me it seems
When ALL I believed in is reduced to dreams
When you can't let go of the false truths
Forty years gone, and the visions gone too
