To Forgive

To Forgive

A Poem by Teddybearlee

What is the limit of lies
Or the number of partners you try
Or the stealing you love to deny
On this path to nowhere you fly

How can I judge you when you're sick
When my misery seems to give you a kick
And your image of you is pretty slick
I never had time to stop you, so quick

  To forgive, to forget
   Put your sins to rest
  My risk, my choice
To hold you to my chest
    For love, I forgive

Wounds can all be healed
But only love can heal my heart
These scabs can all be peeled
And thescars are just a chart

Of places I visited in my life
Of nightmares showing in the light
Of demons I fought with all my might
None of it matters if the end is right

To forgive, to forget
   Put your sins to rest
  My risk, my choice
To hold you to my chest
    For love, I forgive
