Tombstone

Tombstone

A Poem by Teddybearlee

Here lies my peace of mind
Along side a happier time
Death by a naive heart
And this time no jump start

  Rest in Peace
  To those carefree days
  When my heart was full
And we were settled in our ways
  Rest in Peace
  To my time of happiness
Gone so quick and torn apart like this

Six feet under where I need to be
Lies the shattered soul, that trusted openly
There's no reviving me this time
I give up, you gave the sign

Here lies my ability to think clear
Dragging me down every second you aren't near
May I rest in peace when I'm finally gone
Because I hurt so much from being wrong

  Rest in Peace
  To those carefree days
  When my heart was full
And we were settled in our ways
  Rest in Peace
  To my time of happiness
Gone so quick and torn apart like this
