Worthless

Worthless

A Poem by Teddybearlee

The man who wants to sweep you off your feet
And show you the world by his heart's beat
The hopeless romantic, believer of dreams
The man with the faith in magic that streams

From one heart to another in endless flows
Where his soul leads, the rest surely follows
To find the home where he can rest his head
In the arms of another, not alone, instead

These old world antics serve no benefit
He'll be chewed up and spit out bit by little bit
Such imagination will lead to a life most broken
With memories of moments his only token

They laugh at him and ridicule him so
As he walks through this world, unable to let go
His fight is not done, nor will it ever be
Even when he's left shattered, torn open, deceived

Why does God allow him to follow such a path
He can't stop the feelings, even in this wrath
He stumbles and falls and tries to  get his grip
Please forgive this man, for whatever he did

To deserve a life spent in sorrow and misery
To lose his only love, in the darkest sea
Of nightmares and questions of why is he wrong
He would never hurt her, his whole life long
