Locked Up

Locked Up

A Poem by Teddybearlee
"

My dearest Kathy

"
So far in the back of an unknown world
Lying dormant and forgotten behind an iron door
Withering and weakening nailed to the floor
Only one person can save you and bring you ashore

  Under lock and key
   Far away from me
  In the dark recesses
If only you would bless us
  And pry open this cage
   To leave your stage

When you've been gone so long from me
It's not in the nature to not believe
Even if I do breakdown sometimes to grieve
I still think it's possible for you to break free

Your solitary confinement need not be a wedge
I'm a man of my word and you have my pledge
Yes without you I've stood on a ledge
The balance of my world teetering on edge

  Under lock and key
   Far away from me
  In the dark recesses
If only you would bless us
  And pry open this cage
   To leave your stage

Lost, and found
Tied, and bound
In, the abyss
God..I..miss..you

  Under lock and key
   Far away from me
  In the dark recesses
If only you would bless us
  And pry open this cage
   To leave your stage
