Quick Thought Revival

Back after a couple months and happy to get another poem out. Hope you all enjoy it. :)

Never wanted it to end…

But if it did not break we surely would not bend.

We must allow the memories to be those “happy moments” in time.

If we do they will be just that, a victimless crime.

We should not dwell on how happy we were or how the other is scum,

For nothing but sorrow and hatred will be our sum.

Thinking how much time you wasted on them only leads to depression,

Bringing you happiness recession.

In this way all I could offer you more than my love is your freedom, as that is what you needed.

This gesture alone said more than I love you could ever mean, the day I finally acceded.
