For Every

As with much of my poems this one is some thoughts on a relationship I was in at the time.

For every word spoken,

a tear builds.

 For every memory,

 I break down.

 For every moment of confusion,

 I see her face.

 

 I live life everyday learning

to understand the ones I love.

Life is a wonderful thing

and should be sheltered with great care.

 

Is who we see truly different

than those we merely hear?

Is it possible to love

with many miles between you and them?

 

All we can have is faith.

We must believe.

Like diving into the ocean

with only hands held tight.

 

The love of two is strong.

But who is to survive

can only be determined in time.

So live each day with the hope

of meeting our heart’s mate.

Take the leap of faith to happiness

or face the fear of dying alone.

This is a little "scattered.. It goes from talking about "I", to "us" to "we" then back to "us"... it reads very informal.. It goes from feeling introspective to giving advice... I think you should pick one central theme and stick with it throughout.. that should help.. very good messages in here though.. once you fix what I stated should be pretty darn amazing...

Thank you for the feedback :) and honestly I don't remember anything about this poem other than I wrote it when I was around 13 lol. I have no idea what my direction or idea was with this piece I kind of just posted it. If I feel like I can change it to be something great I will look over it again but I would have to remember at least why I wrote this lol.

Ya this is one of my much older poems I am going to be putting up some newer ones when I finish touching up the oldest ones in my computer. I want to work on staying away from emotions too much cause I did that a lot as a teen and I would like to show more of how I've grown and what I see rather than how I feel. But thank you for the feedback I hope you will read more of my work.
