Short poem I did many years ago while in class.

CLOCK

Tick-tock, tick-tock

life has begun. You

breathe and your senses

kick in; you are human

and the journey begins.

Tick-tock, tick-tock

life continues. “You live

and you learn,” as they

always say and

knowledge hits you like

a speeding car. You see today and do not

think of tomorrow.

Tick-tock, tick-tock

you’ve grown old but

with age comes

great wisdom. You

finally learn how

precious life is

and then its over.

Tick-tock, tick-tock

you’re gone but the

clock still ticks on.
