It Hurts/ All That's Remembered

It Hurts/ All That's Remembered

A Poem by Philosophical Footsteps

It hurts whern your last hug was a cold one without a pulse... When instead of hearing a heart beat it's a hollow shell without a tune
It hurts that the vibrant eyes and body and spirit so full of life is no longer alive and the greeting is no longer in place to look forward to... It hurts when your final good bye is in a cemetery before your loved one is lowered six feet beneath the earth in their new mahogany and pine encasing... Whether a rainy day, windy day, or sometimes a sunny day... It doesn't matter because a good bye is a good bye reguardless of the fact at the end of the day...It hurts to say goodbye...but when you're mourning...sometimes the good bye is all that's remembered... All the stuff... The little gestures you never praised and now miss the most is all that's remembered.. The arguements... The pain And Anger As Well As the Sorrow Is Often All that's remembered at the time because your mind is set that you'll never see your loved one again... Their eyes are closed and they can no longer physically be there... It's hard and it hurts to think that wat but that's often the way your heart and mind works during ddifficult times like these... Sometimes its hard to process at the time... Yes it hurts... Everybody wants happiness... Many of us cannot handle pain... But you'll never fully be able to enjoy a smile without learning how to encounter the rain... Even if that's all that's remembered... At least there's memories left to cherish...
