Toxic NumbnessA Poem by CrimsonDecorumInfected, I'm falling in empty bliss. My heart filled with toxic numbness. "Selfish," my sin burns inside, eating away. Pain laughes at me, "I have a game called torture, wanna play?" ~ But I cry here with empty hands. Scars covered by the warmth of bands. How do I tell them? I'm scared to plead. Help is a hope, that I really need. ~ They believe my empty smile, and the fake joy. Thinking life is something I enjoy. But how do I say this is all wrong. My heart is shattered, and has been for so long. ~ There is a blank feeling, I've known for a year. My crying eyes keep me from seeing things clear. I'm breaking in two, but you still don't see. Watch my eyes, not my smile, and hear my silent, broken, plea.
