Why Not Me?

Why Not Me?

A Poem by Kayla

Screeching tires

As everything suddenly goes black

And quiet

Even though I'm not dead

I'm close to it

As I wake from a coma

I think of my friends

Who were in the car with me

I look to my right

And see my sister dead

Where her eyes should be

Are empty black holes

Filled with loneliness

To my left is my best friend

Who will have brain damage forever

Across the room is my brother

With a face full of scars

To unbearable to look at

As I look for the driver

For my friend

A nurse tells me he is lost

And suspected to be dead

So I look down at myself

I see no harm

I feel no harm

And I wish

I could have died

To save them all

Like he died

To save me

About
I write a lot of poetry. Most of it is really serious, and negative. But I'm actually a really happy and fun person:) I write fanfiction whenever I see a movie, or read a book that doesn't explain a l.. more..
