Cycle of pain.

Cycle of pain.

A Poem by Mistaken Angel
"

~My latest relapse~

"

I can feel the rough, damp sand rubbing against my bare legs.

My beautiful, red satin dress torn to shreds.

The sky is thick with dark, stormy clouds,

Mirroring my feelings down here on the ground.

The waves are violently crashing, what a calming sound.

I close my eyes and recall the sounds,

Of you screaming at me to put the blade down.

The rains pouring, cleaning the fresh incisions on my legs..

Only for the blood to well up all over again.

I can no longer tell whether I'm still in tears,

Because I'm finally numb..

Finally without a care.

Sitting here alone in the pouring rain.

Cursing myself,

I'm the only one to blame.

Ready to give up,

No longer able to deal with the emotional pain.

But then I hear your voice saying my name,

I foolishly take you back..

The cycle of pain, Begins once again.

A scary place described in the poem. When we need to bleed to feel. A bad place to be. Your description create vision of dangerous place and wild thoughts. I liked how you led to the strong and honest ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
