Lost Girl.

Lost Girl.

A Poem by Mistaken Angel
"

The vulnerable girl I once was..

"

Growing up I spent years and years being abused,

It was far worse than a hidden bruise.

I was only a couple of years old when my innocence was stolen,

Replaced with vulnerability and a fear of the unknown.

Just a little girl lost and alone,

Crying because she knows she's not safe in her own home.

Scared to close her eyes and turn off the light,

Because she knows he always comes in the night.

Abuse is never forgotten. Always a wall of safety is needed. Your strong description led to honest ending. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
