Taken Forgranted.

Love is a strong word,

but every time I said it I meant it!

For you I would of moved the world,

but you took me for granted.

When I needed you the most,

you were unfaithful.

I still love you,

and I will for a long long time!

But no matter what I wont let you break my heart with another lie.

I'm too strong for you now..
So I guess this is goodbye.

I love the ambivalence in your poem. It is so true to life. We move on, still stinging from the pain & lies, but we're steeling ourselves to never let that happen again. You show how a person holds the love & longing in his/her heart, and at the same time, being totally DONE with this crap! We are often walking paradoxes, we feeble humans. And you've showed us this portrait painted very realistically. Good job!
