My love for you was destroyed when you were untrue.

I hope she was worth the pain you're putting me through.

Because i'll never come back,

I'm sick of the violence and abuse.

You're far from the prince I thought would be my dream come true.

Now that I know the truth i'm no longer anchored to you.

You broke my heart when you played me like a fool.

Left me sitting here trying to figure out where I went wrong,

What i'm supposed to do?

But what I do know is,

this is the last time i'll waste my tears on you.

LOVE THIS POEM! There's nothing frilly or poetic about it, but the bare truth is just laid out in front of us & I don't know how anyone could NOT relate to this. This poem is about the moments after finding out that the love relationship has been a sham. Of course you feel that your tears have been wasted. We sometimes need to whip ourselves into a strong stance, to move on, to let go, to stop letting this past sorrow invade our present & our future. But some day, hopefully this narrator can write a different poem about how the tears were not wasted, no tears are ever wasted, we live & learn & every heartbreak is a gift. But your poem is about the part where we're reeling from the dishonesty & hurtful actions. It expresses this perfectly. Good job!
