Children of the Night

Children of the Night

A Poem by Tina Genick
"

Written many years ago when I was a teen.

"
When the sun goes down and the street lights shine bright
Out we come the children of the night
Darkness is our calling our pack comes out to play
Were children of the night, not children of the day
Daytime drains our life
Nighttime gives us spark
We children of the night come out when it is dark
Parents give us hassle they think we are occult
But they don't understand the darkness calls us out

Tina Genick
As a teen I struggled to get my parents to understand the need for freedom. This poem brings back that time in my life.
