Drabble - 100 words

Hours after her accident, hypothermia began setting in on Shelly's body. Her pulse weakened and confusion fogged her memory. Only the searing pain that dug into her fresh wound remained constant. Around midnight, she could hear wolves howling in the nearby woods. Her crushed leg pinned under the fallen oak made it impossible for her to reach her cell. She was losing consciousness and made her peace with God. She asked for a miracle, then closed her eyes for good.

A helicopter, receiving her ping location, approached her from a distance - if only she had stayed awake a little longer.

When crafted carefully flash fiction is powerful. Your well placed bits of information has created a complete event. I enjoyed it very much

You've made very good use of only one-hundred words, telling this gripping little tale of Shelly's last moments.
