In A Breath

In A Breath

A Poem by Tracie D'Angelo
"

Written 13 November 1990

"

The bed is our ship

Let’s sail away

Where passions hold high

On freedom’s wings

And together we’ll stop

For only those who love

I know what you’re thinking

I’m not that dumb

I can take you to places

That you’ve never been

I can show you the faces

That you’ve never seen

Don’t be afraid ‘cas it’s just you and I

We’ll smile at the dove

And live in a sigh
