In A Graveyard

Written 1987

Beneath a golden moon

On a cold, dark dreary night

On mystery trodden soil

I walk upon tonight

The nocturnal creatures scamper

From my heavy steps

My God forsaken journey

Has brought me where my heritage has been kept

A time to really find myself

I read the marble stones

And there all the unanswered questions fill

With stories of their own

I really liked this. A graveyard holds many stories mostly unknown. To only know what those stories are. Perfect imagery and detail. A really great poem.
