When a person tells you that you hurt them you don't get to decide that you didn't

When a person tells you that you hurt them you don't get to decide that you didn't

A Poem by Tayler

Today I told you that you hurt me
Not physically but emotionally
To the point where I question the smallest details in life
And you cannot deny that you hurt me
So I figured I would tell you why
You took my heart and crumpled it into a million little pieces
Just like you'd crumple up a dead autumn leaf
You took my mind and played a little game
It didn't matter which game you played
Because you acted like a child and cheated anyways
So now when you deny that you hurt me you can't
Because you can't decide that what you did was not hurtful

Loved the imagery of your heart being a crumbled autumn leaf. The ending lines have a ton of "you's" in it which distracted me a bit but I think your concept was dead on and relatable. I have definitely been there before.

Pretty good. I like the "it didn't matter which game you played, because you acted like a child and cheated anyways."
