The Iron horse

The Iron horse

A Poem by Tina
"

This is about sad, forgotten motorcycle with no Rider.

"
The Iron Horse is cold,
asleep in its stall.
Drained of its blood,
battered and broken.
Dreamless and silent.
Not a care or a thought.
No more does it purr or
vibrate with life. Its
body is Rusted, its
hooves are flat.
Abandoned of a rider,
 its heart and soul.
Its reason for existence,
metal and flesh in its
coexistence. Partners in
battle, Wild and Free,
soul mated it Is to thee.

Mated to thee…a true comment on the relationship of motorcycle to his rider. They are one, as in partners and if one of them breaks, so does the other, heart and soulmates….a well written piece of unusual content…well done.

This is sad, and so well penned. Before I read your description I'd think the iron horse would refer to something political, idk why. But this poem still leaves a lot to the imagination about its rider. I liked this poem. Tyfs

I used to ride years ago. Occasionally I still dream about my bike being in the garage needing oil. A friend of mine died in a motorcycle crash. Someone told me thirty years later the broken up bike still sits in his father's gararge.

Skillfully done, Tina.
