Well of tears

Well of tears

A Poem by Tina
"

Sadness can be overwhelming.

"
I fell into the well of Tears.
Here I face My Darkest fears.
No rope to climb to see the light,
to keep afloat I boldly fight.
Trapped and  alone with nowhere
to run. For someone's touch I
desperately Long.
To hear a voice to lead me on.
To find the strength to carry on.
The taste of salt upon my tongue,
Seep into my breathless lungs.
Death for me is slow and cold.
No more life I have to hold.
As I think into the water of woes.

Sadness - from what I've experienced - feels like a backpack full of bricks at times. As time goes on, that future seems like it will never be any better, only worse. And days just go on the same.

Sadness sucks. I've been there.

Fine writing, tina.

I'm sorry I can't understand your writing
This one has depression written all over it. That darkness is unrelieved, with no sign of the sun ever returning. Depressed people who kill themselves don't really want to die. It's just that the pain cannot be borne any longer.

My poem isn't really about killing your self
Well written and heart-rending. Some of the deepest pain we can feel is the loss of love, or the betrayal of it. Despite its sadness I related to your words. Thank you for sharing this poem.

Thank you for reading
I felt the deep sadness in your lines Tina and know myself from past experiences how overwhelming it can become. All we can do is hope the darkness is not long lasting. Good to see a post from you.
