Time

Time

A Poem by Tina
"

Time is a very curious thing

"

Time is a funny thing.

 It lives to taunt us.
It can go agonizingly slow

 or unbearably fast.

Years can take minutes,

minutes can feel like hours.

how is this so?What is time.

 Maybe time is different for

each person.

Children don't care about

 time, they have no tolerance

for waiting, they Don't realize

how it slips through the Fingers.

To the adult its everything.

Because we live by  time and

 Ticking of clocks and deadlines.

And we know time runs out

and it all ends.

it is like punching out from a job, only death punches our time card when it decides to
fire us from this life.
we worry so much about deadlines and being at the next place....we often forget to make the most of the place where we are at the moment.

it does indeed .. nice compilation on time as one goes through ............. er ....... time ;) its all relative .."In the Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein determined that time is relative--in other words, the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference." i think there is a point where time and distance both become meaningless ;)

there's a lot of truth you've written in this. the progression of age puts anxiety into the mind the older we get. so much to do and the presence of something to worry about never leaves us alone.

Yes, the sand in the hour glass filters through. Faster as you get older. Since I stopped work I haven't worn a watch. Refusevto time watch now, make the most of each day. Thank you Tina for a relatable write.

My pleasure.
Interesting speculation here. Perhaps perception of time is a matter of supply and demand. The older you get, the more you realize time is running out, and fear makes you more aware of its flight. To the child, though, time seems endless, and there is little awareness of its passing.
