THE NIGHTMAREA Poem by Tazeen Ahmedwell , a nigtmare of a patriotic soldierone night, in the pitch dark
moonlit light he walked the woods lone and lull
he didn’t stop a moment dull with his bleeding leg he lunged with beg he was lost and dreadfully bushed
but with an inspiration he had gushed HE WAS WORRIED , HE WAS
HURRIED he heard the mighty murmurs
that spread like fire knowing no worse , he wandered cursed
one night, in the late lofty
light he dragged the woods frail and anxious he didn't cry for he was
pious with his bared and sore feet he didn’t have a little
to feed with dying thirst he struggled an awful lust HE WAS TANGLED , HE WAS
DANGLED he heard the windy whispers
that flowed like water knowing no worse , he wandered cursed
one night , in the aphotic
and unpleasant light he walked the woods frightened
and annoyed he didn’t scurry for he was cloyed
with his wounded knee his feet did not agree with not a modest tad of terror he anticipated a victory filled
with endeavor HE WAS BAYED , HE WAS STRAYED
he heard the whistling voices
that spread like arid air knowing no worse , he wandered cursed
one night, in the chilly fretting light he walked the woods with hope
and disguise he didn’t give up for he was wise with his witty eye sight he spotted a town so bright brimmed with his ally they cheered for the
warrior's victorious rally HE WAS CHERISHED,HE WAS LAVISHED he heard the thrilled
echoes that flew like birds knowing no relinquish , he sustained feverish © 2016 Tazeen Ahmed |
