I CRY AT THIS MOMENT

I CRY AT THIS MOMENT

A Poem by Tazeen Ahmed
"

it's all about an emotional experience , and a description of a feeling of crying.....

"

I cry at this moment

to suppress my displeasures

my wishes ,that I had gulped deep

out of ignorance

I believe my soul could someday

deserve patience

I cry at this moment

lament and throw my anger

generating deep inside

that poison , that I had drunk

to kill my hatred and other's mocks

I believe my soul could someday

breathe expectation

I cry at this moment

with my broken heart

releasing my stress

I cry innocently

expecting no attention

I believe my soul could someday

feel freedom

I cry at this moment

with my loneliness

I hide my face

shamelessly releasing my pain

I hide my tears

to not let anyone taste my suffering

I believe my soul could someday

sustain reasons

I cry at this moment

with thoughts of my sins

my sore wounds will ever be healed

but without justice to the past

without the consent of satisfaction

I believe my soul could someday

forget this experience

your poem covers a lot of ground Tazeen .. not sure what your overall theme is though ..aside from self expression of a lot of feelings .. of grieving ..the grief process demands one go through guilty blaming, anger, sorrow ..the whole nine yards before healing can occur .... and your poem covers them ... the focus on "I" makes it confessional ..and hampers my entering into the skin of the speaker .. you might try expressing these feelings and experiences in another voice or object (something i am learning now in school;) the repetition works for me and does lend itself to my joining that moment; there is strength in the honesty and in places vulnerability ..

ps i just read Richard's review and isn't it funny how one can easily slip into the skin and one has difficulty ..all with a grain of salt eh!? :)))

Goodness, Tazeen!
How wonderfully insightful your words sing unto the reader's heart and soul, touching the depths of one's core from such broadminded understanding and emotional wonderment that virtually dances upon the page to be set free.
You've a fine skill of writing and expressing in such a vivid way that draws us into your moment with you, as though inside your skin, your mind, and soul … it's as though your feelings, thoughts, and emotions are our own.

It's truly remarkable, and I thank you most warmly and appreciatively for sharing this with us …warmest hugs of thanks, Little Lady-Poet! ⁓ Richard : )

Thank you 😊
"I hide my tears

to not let anyone taste my suffering"
a very powerful line here in resonance to my feelings. The words are expressing their distress, disappointment, dejection and anger so clearly that it catches you right away.
A very brilliant piece. Thanks for sharing
