The chain never meant to be broken

Pain, pain is the simplest form of displeasure we as people can understand. It comes from loss, it comes from disappointment. The reasons are endless for pain. But from pain can come perseverance.

Perseverance, the idea that no matter what happens we will get back up. A voice no one can explain that drives even the most broken to become whole again, through perseverance we can become strong again.

Strength, strength is finding something greater than yourself to strive for. Strength is saying yes when the world says no, screaming when you are meant to be silent. Strength drives all the greatest to rise to the top, to be the victors. The winners. Endless victories.

Victory, when you succeed in all you set out to do. When the final buzzer rings and you're still standing. When every obstacle you've encountered becomes minuscule. Victory is what leads us to be proud, to show pride in what we have done.

Pride, pride is either the icing on the cake for victors, or the poison that filters into that chalice of accomplishment. Though pride is inevitable and I'm some regards earned, we use it as a platform. To look down on those who did not win, who aren't sharing the same trophy as you. Pride leads to downfall. And downfall leads to pain.

Pain is the link that binds that chain, through pain we find ourselves. We realize what matters and what our focus should be. Pain while tough, is the absolute reason we continue fighting and climbing. Hoping to never feel that pain again. The chain that doesn't break, but mends itself with each victory and defeat that we drag it through.
