Chapter 18: Reunited

Melina was sniffing the ground for some nice hot rocks. She was searching the best one for Belinda. As time went by she slowly forgot about Sirius. No one knew she cried some times at night for him.

She continued sniffing the ground for some rocks.She was waiting on Blueanne to catch up with her. She walked onto a hot rock instantly burning herself.She jumped back.''Ouch!'' She yowled.''I need to be more careful.''She put her snout to the ground and started sniffing again.

''Melina!Melina!''She heard her name being called.She looked up to see Sirius! She ran over to the bird and wolf.''Sirius!''She exclaimed.''It really is you!''

''Why wouldn't it be?''He smile.He sniffed her all over as if to convince himself that this wolf standing before him is his good friend,Melina.The golden and white wolf with hazel eyes.His Melina.

''I'm so glad your alright!''He jumped around her like a small pup.

Melina giggled.''I can say the same for you.I'm surprised you even survived out here all lone.''

''Well,i am a lone wolf.''Sirius said proudly. Melina chuckled and agreed.She looked over his body notices some cuts and bruises alongside him.''What?''He asked as he saw her confused expression.

''You have cuts all over you,''She softly said.''What happened?''

''That's what you do as a lone wolf.Who said it was going to be a enjoyable journey?You fight for your living.''Sirius looked down at her.''These bruises means nothing to me,but how much of a warrior i've been and survived.''Sirius sat down as Melina started nuzzling him under his chin.

''I missed you so much,''She said smiling.''Where have you been?You have to come back to the Evermost,Sirius.''

Sirius backed up from her,looking at her as if she's been trampled by a herd of caribou.''Are you crazy?I can't go back to Evermost when i've been exiled out here.''

''Things are not the same as when you were there.It has gotten...boring.''Melina smiled at him still.''And Granny needs you more then ever.''

''Belinda needs me?''Sirius asked. Blueanne flew on his shoulder,fluttering her wings lightly and pulling at them.

''Of course she needs you Sirius! That's all she talks about!''Blueanne replied.

''Really?''

''Of course! You have to come back!''Blueanne agreed.

''But won't someone notice me?''Sirius was more nervous as he was anxious to be going back home,but if Arovi finds out his scent and track him down...''I don't know guys...''He breathed.''I kinda want to stay alive.''

Melina gasped.This is not my Sirius! ''Sirius!''She called.

''What?''

''What are you saying? Your going to die anyways! It isn't about staying 'alive'and if your going to die at least die for someone you care about!''She raised her tail in dominance.''You have to come back home! Things are not the same without you!''

''I don't know,''Sirius paused.What happens if i do come back? Melina...When ever did she become so wise-like? You're going to die anyways,at least die for someone i care about?...She has a point there,but who? Sirius thought.He had no family he was familiar with.So who was he to die for,if he was to die? 

That's when it hit him.He had no family,of course,but he does have friends.Friends that care about him and would do the same for him.If he was to die.He was to die for them.

''Sirius?''Blueanne called him out of his train of thoughts.

He only gave a nod.''I'm going home.''He told the two females.
