Chapter 15: Reminisces

The sunlight hit Melina's glossy face. She opened her eyes to see blurriness from last night's crying. Her mother and sister,Maria was beside her still sleeping. Melina carefully got up and walked outside the den to not awaken them.

She cried a few good hours last night.She was only disappointed. She hadn't seen Sirius in a while or it felt like a while and she believed it was all her fault. She missed his large sized,his soft fur and deep voice.She missed everything about him and without him she felt empty.

Melina took a drink at a river and decided to see her grandmother,Belinda. She went up the paths slowly.A lot was on her mind.Everything was on her mind.This 'leader' wolf, Sirius' exile, Her pack, Her life,The medical wolf.Everything.It seems as if nothing could fit in her agenda anymore! She had a lot of fun with Sirius whether it's doing something stupid and fun or just lying down and taking a nap beside each other.Everyday was worthwhile to her especially if she was with Sirius!

It was night time in the Evermost when all was peaceful. Melina was returning home to her pack late because she was with Sirius. He suggested they should look at the stars for a moment. Melina agreed. She agreed with mostly everything he said! She knew he meant will and would protect her if anything went wrong.

They found a nice spot and laid down on their backs beside each other,talking about the stars.

''Look at them,''Melina complimented.''Aren't they lovely?''

''You sure are,''Sirius not realizing what he just said,was staring at her.''I MEAN they sure are!''He quickly replied to a blushing Melina.

She smile at him and brought her attention back at the stars.They were sparkly tonight. Sirius stared at Melina. The moonlight shown on her,making her look reflective at him.Her coat was a shining gold and pure white.Her eyes the flawless honey color of hazel.She was lovely to him.The stars couldn't compare to the sight beside him.

Melina remembered that peaceful day when they didn't meet Arovi and the packs were safe. She also remembered the day when Her and Sirius were to watch Violent and the kids.

''Melina and Sirius!''Belinda called to the two young-wolves.They looked up to her.''Blueanne and I are going out to get some herbs.I'm going to need you,two,to watch Violent and her kids for me,making sure they're alright.Got it?''Belinda called Blueanne and left without getting a reply back from the two young wolves.

Melina got up and trotted out.Later Sirius followed her.They went to the back of the cave where a female bunny was,chewing on some flowers.Her three children,sleeping peacefully.

''Hi Violent.''Melina greeted to the bunny.Violent looked up at her,but said nothing and went to tend to her children. Violent was like a pet and a test subject for Belinda.She was loyal to the medical wolf and proved she would do anything for her.When Violent went out and mated with an unknown male rabbit and gave birth to three baby bunnies named Sunny,a girl,Aki,a girl and Bluey,a boy.That day was fun because when Violent went to nap her children woke up and were a handful to Melina and Sirius as they chased them all the way through the Evermost or it felt like it.

Melina laughed at the thought.That day was fun running around and chasing kids.She also remembered the day her and Sirius hunted together.Now that day was a handful...

Sirius and Melina were hidden in a bush as the wind was passing their way.A plump female caribou grazed in front of them eating some grass.A baby nearby her doing the same.

''Which one are we going to kill?''She asked Sirius.

''The mother.If were lucky,both of them.''He smile at her.His eyes narrowed at the tasty food that lies in front of them.''We have to get in position soon.''

''How do i know when to attack?''She asked.

''I'll give you a signal.''

''What kind?''

''When i move out,you'll move out from behind it and jump on it's back.I'm going to try and get it near you for no escape.When that happens then i'll stick my fangs in it's neck with the killing blow,got it?''Sirius explained.

''What about the kid?''Melina nodded to the baby caribou.

Sirius shrugged.''We'll see if the plan works,got it?''Melina nodded.''Let's move!''He whispered and went to his part of the woods,undetected by the mother and baby caribou.Melina was in the back of them,ready for her signal.

She saw Sirius jumped out in front of the mother caribou.The caribou was ready to attack back,but backed up instead to where Melina was headed.Sirius gave her the cue and jumped out unknowingly to the caribou on it's back with her fangs inside it's flesh.Sirius attacked the front of it.The caribou went down and died on the woods' floor.Melina looked around for the baby,but couldn't find it.

''Good catch.''Sirius complemented,licking the blood around his face and paws. Melina done the same.''Why were you so skeptical at first?''Sirius asked her.Melina never told anybody about her fear of blood and killing,but she knew Sirius meant well.

''I never really liked the smell or thought of blood.''She looked away from him in shame.Sirius licked her cheek.''It's alright.Your secret is safe with me.''

She smile.

She sighed fondly at that memory.She then noticed that in every memory she had with Sirius,it had affection in it. She had to admit they did flirt a lot with one another without actually knowing it.How many times had she licked or nuzzled him?And him? It was to many times they had done that.She knew they weren't really mates,but being close like that,then they must be.She did admit that she had feelings for the black and silver wolf.

She hadn't realized she made it to her grandmother's cave.She went inside to see a sight that made her freeze in her spot...
