Chapter 14: Fantasies

Akari and Maria waited patiently for their mother to come out the den. Akari especially,she was worried sick for Melina. Melina came home that night crying her eyes out and sobbing hard.She was in all the submissive postures every wolf could do! Akari and Maria knew something was up. Melina wouldn't tell anybody what happened.

''I hope she's okay.''Akari heard Maria whispered.

''Of course she will be!''Akari gulped.I hope...''She's strong...''Holly came out with her ears pinned down. Akari and Maria immediately went over to their mother and started sniffing her.''Is everything alright?''

Holly shook her head.''She wouldn't talk to me.All she keeps saying is Sirius is gone because of her.''

''Who is Sirius?''Akari asked.

Holly shrugged.''I don't know.I do know is that i want my baby okay and not crying.''

Akari then stepped up,her tail raised.''Then i should go talk to her,''She says.

Holly shook her head.''That won't be necessary,you go to Geron and i'll take care of Melina.''Holly turned away.''Come on Maria.''Maria touched Akari with her snout,bidding goodbye and trotted after their mother in the den.

Ever since Akari was promoted to be the future pack leader with Geron. She was ordered to sleep with him every night and day.She was never to leave his side unless asked to. She really didn't care about the position,but her mother did and that was only to make her mother happy.

Akari nodded towards them and went down to where the leaders of her pack slept.She saw Geron curled up in the corner of the small cave they all shared.She sniffed his pelt and laid down beside him with her head on her paws.

She began to dream...

''Me and you?''She found herself in a huge meadow with plenty of growing flowers and bushes.Another wolf was with her.He was a black wolf with silver around his ears and the tip of his tail.He was a large wolf and very handsome.She fondly sighed at the sight of him.

He narrowed his eyes playfully.''Yeah me and you,Akari!''He gently nuzzled her face.She licked him.

''Well i don't know...''She playfully said.''You can have me,''She started.His eyes were filling with lust.''If you catch me!''She finished,running away from him.He began running after her.She ran through the flowers and he followed her in hot pursuit.She turned back to look at him,but not knowing she was headed for a hill.She rolled down.He followed after her and they became entangled in each other.

''Ahh!''They both laughed in pain of falling.Once at the bottom Akari was pinned by her ''lover wolf''.

''I caught you.''He winked at her.

''Ah,so you did Kallip.''She answerd back,playfully.He let her up.

''So?''She knew what he was implying to.She smile sweetly at him.She went up to him and licked his face.''I'm yours.''She went into submissive posture.

''That's what i thought.''His eyes began to fill with passion. Akari stood still,letting Kallip know she was ready.He went behind her and sniffed her scent.He began to mount her...

Akari shot up her head.Oh no! Not another one! I need to get him out my head! Akari shook her head and got up,waking up Geron.''Akari,where are you going?''

''I'm going to get some water.''She told the truth.And clear my head! He nodded towards her and curled up to go back to sleep.

Akari walked out the den quietly.She took a drink at the nearby pond and sat there looking at her reflection.The stars were out shining down on the water.Akari gulped.She was having fantasies about another wolf that wasn't her mate.Even though she wish he was! He was in Talon's pack anyways and ever since Arovi took power of ALL the evermost and became the leader of leaders in packs.He was the most powerful. She remembered that day when he killed and brought back star wolves.She didn't get it at all,but she sure was scared for the rest of her life.

A howl was heard nearby. Akari stared into the distant whether thinking to follow it or not.This howl sounded familiar.She got up and went up the hill from her pack.She saw a black wolf with silver around his ears and tail. Kallip.  Akari was secretly in love with him,but they were like rivals in their packs. They always fought and argued,but Akari understood that he get her more then any other wolf,including her mother.She hate to admit it,but she would come to him first before anyone else and she was sure he would do the same thing.

''What's wrong with you?''She made herself visible through the moonlight. Kallip flicked his ears at the voice.He knew who it was as he didn't turn back to look at her.

''Nothing.''He said. His voice made her float a bit.He had a voice of a bad-boy! From the distance she was standing at, he looked like a devil, hungry for blood.She knew Kallip loved Ayana before Arovi claimed her,for himself.The two were mates before. Akari wouldn't say she was jealous,but she did envy the young brown she-wolf for a bit.

Akari went up to him and sat down over-looking the stars.''What are you doing here?Shouldn't you be home?''

''I should be asking you the same thing.''Kallip answered still not looking at her.''Won't your lover be looking for you?''He had the teasing held in his eyes.Akari softly smile at him.

''At least i can say i have one.''She replied.Wrong choice of words! She somehow liked when the black and silver wolf was angry or mad at her.

Kallip finally looked at her,his igniting orange eyes narrowing at her to her soul.''Don't.Ever.Mention.Her.Again.''He threatened his teeth bared.

''Oh and if i do?You won't even dare touch me!''Akari replied confidently. Kallip put his claw up to Akari's throat.

''You wanna bet i do?''He threatened.He suddenly showed amusement in his eyes as he put down his claw.''Your right,i wouldn't do it to you,''He smile at her.''But, I would do it to your lover,then we'll be even.''He looked away.

Akari rolled her eyes.Ever since Kallip found out about the changes he would always call Geron her 'lover' Akari hated that. Geron was not the one to appear in her dreams at night or think about when she's alone.The wolf beside her now was the one wolf who fulfilled that spot even though she didn't want that to happen.

''You just love to insult me,don't you?''She asked with amusement.

''If you wouldn't do the same,then you wouldn't get the same treatment,right?''He said in more of a statement then a question.She knew he was right,but to naive to actually admit.

''If you aren't above me,then you're just another wolf.''She looked away,but stared at him in the corner of her eyes for his next snappy remark.

''And so are you.''He replied.She snorted.''Oh really?What rank are you in your pack?''

''A beta.''She answered.

He nodded.''Exactly.You aren't any special then me.''

''Whatever.''She rolled arctic eyes.''I'm a lady,weren't you born a gentlemen?''

''If you treated me like one,then i'll treat you like a lady.''Kallip smirked and got up from his spot.

''Where are you going?''As much as she tried to hold it back,she had to ask him.She never admitted she actually enjoyed his company.

''Where it looks like?I'm going home.''He replied walking down the other side of the hill.

Akari watched him go. She couldn't help,but do it.Sometimes she wished it would be her and him together like in her dreams instead of pack's protocols. She only wish that Geron didn't pick her even though she was glad to be with him,that was no doubt.She was just incomplete.Empty.

No wonder i have such fantasies,She thought walking back to the den.
