Keep The Lights On

Keep the lights on, It shows me out to be something that I am not, Something people love to see.

 

But if you turn out the lights, I turn into myself, Unwanted, Damned, And a  peice of trash to be thrown away, I have a true taste for blood to be spilled on the ones that mistreated me. . . I'll hide away until I can truely show my own self and be respected for me not  for someone that I am not.

Once upon a time, I only showed what I really was when the lights were turned off. Then one day I stopped giving a s**t and decided that the other people that were living "with the light off" were the only ones for me and that is when I pretty much became my own person.

After that, as I got to be older, I learned to understand the people who preferred to keep the "Lights on" and came to understand things about them that I previously would not have understood before (even if I still did not agree with them)
