The Halflings of Halifask MountainA Poem by Taylor JacksonThe mystery race of Halflings that reside in Halifask Mountain are a story to all that live in the world of my works. Not much is known and their are few stories about them.Little is known, and stories few, of the Halflings of Halifask Mountain But, rumors grown, when treasure looms, their numbers you cannot count them. Now stories told, all legends old, of battles have they fought That their chests of stone, brave to the bone, their hearts not overwrought. Workers true, for tunnels through, the mountains do we pass There’s no denying, their work implying, stone master of high class. So now I ask, too strange a task, mine eyes they wish to see In marvel bask, Mt. Halifask, their city now I seek. The tales are told, of cities gold, within they do reside But their hearts are cold, in stories old, in their race consumes their pride. © 2021 Taylor JacksonAuthor's Note
