The Hills of HalfareA Poem by Taylor JacksonA fantasy poem! Hopefully providing encouragement.Have you ever followed the hills of Halfare. They say those who follow will find only despair. So warn you I do, that path do not go, For your mind will then leave you, and wither in morose. They say that a young demon, resides in the hills, Who looks for lost travelers to riddle with deals. And of you accept them your soul will be lost, And the hill you’ll then wander, to painful a cost. Are your desires worth that, an eternal damnation? Will you risk short rewards for future subjugation? Or will you deny that which the demon requests, And live your short life, and do but your best. For the demon does not temp one who’s striving to be, Hopeful, contempt, and full of curiosity. He temps but a man, who’s willing to make, The biggest sacrifice, and a world to forsake. So please hear my warning and live life your best, And do not be tempted and your soul will find rest. © 2021 Taylor JacksonAuthor's Note
