Stuck In A Funk

Stuck In A Funk

A Poem by TaylorAnn

My eyes are blurring
But nothing is falling
Because this heart is frozen
And my lungs are burning
Running from this all
I'm tiring out
Used goods are worse than damaged
You've already figured that out

I'm a spill on the floor
That was never cleaned up
The stain in the ground
That's stuck in this town
In this place, where they change
Change nothing but their minds
This place is driving me insane
I've gone and lost my mind

And who is this person,
who I once seemed to know?
They disappeared from my mind
You're buried and gone
And when you want to nag again at the back of my mind
I'll remember how weak I was
I resigned that part of my mind

But how can I run when I'm stuck in the mud?
How can I think when I'm stuck in a funk?
My mind is a hazard zone
Safety suit is required
Don't sink into this hole
I was stuck there for a while
