I Put The Hang In Change, So Hang On
A Poem by TaylorAnn
You'll either love this or hate it.
And I’m becoming so sick
Of what I’ve become
So over what I’ve done
I’ll send you the blame
In a pretty little package
Step out of this frame
Now you’re the center of attention
I’ve given all of the effort I’ve got locked inside
Used up all of my energy
Now my regrets keep me up at night
I ask myself why
On a regular basis
How could I become this thing?
That can’t even take the blame for her actions
I’m trying, can’t you see?
I’m trying to be
The person I used to be
But I’m thinking too slow
And sinking down more
Out of sight and out of your thoughts
It’s ‘the old me or bust’
So give me one more chance
To become what I was
And pick up the slack that I sent you so long ago
Mistakes are made
And promises break
Especially when my life is up there for bids
Time to raise the stakes
