I Believe I Am Confused

I Believe I Am Confused

A Poem by David

                                  I Believe I am Confused

Conundrum I am, confused and devoid

What is it, my mind at odds and these thoughts employed

I feel no love for those around

No feeling , no emotion that should abound

Lonely and stone cold but yet there comes

These feelings upon my heart they strum

Complete stranger to my sight

Tears at me so and the thought to slight

Would break me so , bring no delight

To see a young soul lost and forlorn

The cry they speak misery they adorn

Lack of hope and vision unseen

No words of comfort , out of sight they careen

It is upon us the older souls

To make young hearts get in control

Value they need and not some ridiculous screed

Belief in themselves to see the need

For their value to be displayed

Upon their feet we need not dismay

Our thoughts and love direction and hope

Is the way they soon will cope

They need us so and we need them

Let’s all help and be the friend

We need and want on that one we can depend
