Another Day in DC

Another Day in DC

A Poem by David

Ho Hum!!! Yawn!!  Just another day in DC.

These despicable pols live in a world not meant

 For you and for me

They sit in their overstuffed chairs and debate back and forth

They blather and banter and set out their course

Not one of our choice but what’s best,

Fill their greedy coffers for the lobbies requests

They sit in this world connected to none

Caring not a wit about us only the next race to be run

Illegals and terrorists slipping silently in

Our border to the south and yet these dullards begin

Guest workers, we need to keep business at bay

Don’t be so greedy you need not so much pay

All the while over at the good ol NSA

They spy and compile on good people born here

This agency even Old J. Edgar would fear

These dolts are but a few hundred and yet

Our lives roughshod they run and at their behest

Send out the dogs from that place called the I the R and the S

If you do not think as we believe we will shatter your lives

We’ll hound and surpress you in so many ways and tell you great lies

There is no place, from this monster so great, to hide or escape to flee or to run

They will just tap your phone  and before they are done,

They will know what was said to whom and how long

This country so great at least as I remember now being driven

To a silent defeat by those five hundred some creaven

Bound only in search for power and cash

They will sell us out all while talking their trash

It is high time my good and kind souls to take back your country

For Once and For All
