The Congregation

The Congregation

A Poem by Taylor Williams

We are the  congregation
we are the masses of the damned
so let's rise in formations
and take control of this land
this land of greed, and infamy
where kids have their parents to blame
for their broken ways
is this what you call
the american dream?
millions ravaged by poverty
but together
together we rise, rise
rise up tall
rise, rise
and stand up strong

we are the future
so who says we don't have a say
every old soul
petrified of change
rather live in their illusion
of this modern guilded age
give us back
the reins of life

we know what to do
how to make this right
give us the world
and we'll show you the gem
that you covered up
in post production muck
so uncover your ears
and finally act like you give a f**k

I sense a bit of anarchy in this? I love it.
