A Journey Through My Heart

A Journey Through My Heart

A Poem by Taylor Williams
"

a journey through my heart

"
come my friend
come with me, and take my hand
let me take you for a ride

through the veins, the arteries
femoral to vena cava, full circle to the heart
where my depression lies, buried so deep
let me take you for a ride
into the darkest of my mind,
untouched even in sleep

Here, where my heart should be
instead is a shadow, bearing her smile
Here, where we should feel my heartbeat
instead is the shockwave, her unheard sorrow
Here, where i should feel happy
instead i feel nothing, empty

come my friend
come with me, and take my hand
let me take you for a ride
into the womb,
the womb of my, suicide

Depression... Depression's yelling aloud through innocent and simple words. A melancholic images have created a depth darkness. The tragic imagination here is speakable and heart-warming. The first stanza 'come my friend ... ' isn't just some couple words that pulled together to made some lines... It's a call to every reader to join you your own misery and feel your emptiness. I could relate to this poetry. Deep and well-written...
'the womb of my, suicide'... LOVE IT

Some deep feelings well put into words. Some times we all have the same feelings. Well crafted poem I like it. Enjoyed reading
