Shattered

Shattered

A Poem by Taylor Williams

Paradise has been lost
Will it ever again be found
Taken for granted was yesterday's heaven
The pressure of today's hell is ever pressing
Always breaking
Suffocating
Deconstructing
My heart is screaming
And my eyes are bleeding
A tear for every regret
Of yesterday's failures
Should hope be allowed to live
In search of the futures reaction
To the acts of passion
The brought us right here
To the edge broken and grasping
For the heaven we had
And the paradise
We have lost
