Memories of Love Become Dreams of Madness

Memories of Love Become Dreams of Madness

A Poem by Taylor Williams
"

first one on here in a longggggg while

"
Get out
I can't take this anymore
Memories reminding me of times
That I once adored
But now I'm living life
Like a broken man
With a long dulled knife
I can't do anything
But live for the moment
That I make it right

Lungs still breathing
Hearts still beating
Step by step
Trying to make it back
Home to you
Eyes still seeing
Hands still feeling
That nothing remains
Of the life that i knew

With you
All these memories
Working their way, into my dreams
Of you
My mind's collapsing
as my sanity's breaking down

I can's take this anymore
Can't do anything
But live for the moment
Live for the moment
That i make, this, right

Lungs still breathing
Hearts still beating
Step by step
Trying to make it back
Home to you

A qualative piece, I will suggest though that when you re-read your work that you are ruthless when editing.
