just another metal inspired song

when we stood amongst the trees

and cherished our memories

but how would we know

what would become

of our life and all of our dreams

theuy became lost

amongst the smoke and the flames

this forest is burning

whats left of what we had

now lies among the ash

in our hands and in our control

we thought we knew, everything

we were so foolish

we were so young

i miss the times

before we had sung

the eulogy

of our love

 

if i could i would have

gladly joined our romance

as it was burning

never to emerge ffrom the treeline

our hearts connection was severed

as was my life line

 

as the forest burned

it took my humanity

as the forest burned

i lost my sanity

among the ash
