Ending the Shadow Curse

Ending the Shadow Curse

A Poem by Kiara
"

third part to My Shadows

"
The blood of a boy
Laying so close
Begs for my attention.
I look down at him.

He lies still and cold,
His breathing shallow.
He knows not of us
Of me and my Shadows.

I can't do it.
I've never had this trouble before.
I crave his blood
More than any other.

I can't hurt him.
I refuse.
I'll fight my Shadow friends away
Just to save this human boy.

He cannot be harmed.
I must protect him.
He opens his eyes.
He stares into mine.

A blast of light blinds me
And burns me.
My death must be ending
But it is not possible.

Of course, I am in love
And I must be loved.
If not, there would be no end
To my Shadow curse.
