The Starving Wolves of the World

The Starving Wolves of the World

A Poem by Kiara

I listen to their silence
As I walk by.
I glance away
When their icy glares
Meet my eyes.
They criticize.
It's best to be quiet.
Then I can't sound like....
Well I can't sound at all
So they can't criticize me for that.

I walk.
Step
Trip
And
Then
I
Fall.

Laughter floods my ears.
Red blush floods my cheeks.
Now they have some gossip
To feast on
Like the starving wolves they are.
But soon
They'll go back to searching
For some mistake.
For any mistake.

I know that this poem may be about bullying because you have somehow, AGAIN!, written a poem in a very classy way that does not spell out what exactly you are saying, and the way you have written it is amazing, Taylor!! I could just.... Those first few lines in the first stanza got my heart pumping like crazy!! *Big Hugzz* Why couldn't I have the privilege of knowing you in my earlier years?! Everyone has their own BS that they deal with and though it usually does not get lesser than what it used to be, we learn to not react to it because our options become more broader than that of ones in our teens or before. We can drive away, not date the person, go home and lock all the doors, sleep in the basement on the floor naked if we choose to, fall asleep in the backyard by a campfire if we choose to etc..... You have all this rage and beauty, it seems, that equals itself out most days because your heart doesn't allow you to disconnect fully. That is most awesome!! If you stay on this site, I think you are going to want to remain friends with me and even remind me of how much I may be needed at times when I don't so easily see it. This is a brave poem to write. I have not tried to write a poem about the topic because I am ot sure what it would look like when done. If you requested me to, and doubt you will, but if you did, I would try my hand at it for you. : ) Great job!! xxox -Your Mark
