I Can't

I Can't

A Poem by Kiara

Don't look up,
Don't look left.
Mirrors are on both walls,
Attempting to shatter you so you'll shatter them.

I can't look at myself.
I can't see what he must have seen.
I can't be reminded again.

He said that it was okay,
That he didn't see a thing.
But you know it's a lie,
And it will never be the same.

I can't walk through the hallway without wanting to apologize.
I can't go back to the one place I felt safe.
I can't tell him how I feel.

Just resort to the same thing as always.
Find a way to numb the pain.
Maybe let it overwhelm you,
That way you can finally escape.

Umm .. not that bad, it's quiet good to read. Your few moments of your life are get captured into the poetic words. Some deep meaning screaming out loud the presence of love via this free-verse write. Nice work.
