I Can'tA Poem by Kiara
Don't look up,
Don't look left. Mirrors are on both walls, Attempting to shatter you so you'll shatter them. I can't look at myself. I can't see what he must have seen. I can't be reminded again. He said that it was okay, That he didn't see a thing. But you know it's a lie, And it will never be the same. I can't walk through the hallway without wanting to apologize. I can't go back to the one place I felt safe. I can't tell him how I feel. Just resort to the same thing as always. Find a way to numb the pain. Maybe let it overwhelm you, That way you can finally escape.
