![]() Sing Yourself to SleepA Poem by KiaraShe sings along to all of her songs To lift the weight of the world from her shoulders. When she sings, there are no wrongs. There is no pain to drown her. All day, she longs, Only to sing her pain and troubles away.
Now she finds less comfort when she sings And she dwells more on her pain. She lies in bed thinking terrible things, Sometimes wishing she was dead. Would she be carried away on angel wings? Or would she spend her eternity in Hell?
Now she sings not at all As they lower her into the ground. She followed that call, Slitting her wrists for some peace. Her silence echoes along the halls, Never again to be flooded with her warm song. © 2013 KiaraFeatured Review
